Treffpunkt Kind
Field of Expertise
Treffpunkt Kind is an association of experts whose goal is to help children maintain contact with both parents and other close relatives during challenging family situations.

All experts in the working group are self-employed and offer their services in their own name and on their own account.
Treffpunkt Kind – A Space for Connection, Trust, and Relationship
Treffpunkt Kind is a working group of experienced professionals united by a common goal:
We help ensure that children, even in challenging family situations, can maintain contact with both parents and experience that they are loved and accepted by both.

At the heart of our work is the child – with their needs, feelings, and wishes. We offer each child a safe and protected environment where encounters can take place: gently, appreciatively, and in a climate of trust.

We support children, parents, and other relatives in rebuilding, strengthening, or continuing interrupted family relationships. Each supervised visit takes place in a mindful and respectful atmosphere – always with the aim that shared time can once again be experienced positively.
Our range of services is diverse and flexibly tailored to the needs of families
Supervised meetings can take place – including on weekends – at our locations in the 7th and 16th districts of Vienna, as well as in public places such as playgrounds, indoor play areas, cultural events (for example, theater performances or Christmas markets), or museums, among others.

In this way, we create spaces where children and parents can meet in a natural environment and share new, positive experiences together.

Our mission is to support families during what is often a difficult time, to build trust, and to open up perspectives for good cooperation – step by step, with professional expertise, empathy, respect, and care.
Visitation Café – Encounters in a Trusting Atmosphere
Our visitation cafés offer children and parents the opportunity to spend time together in a safe and trusting environment
Our services are intended for families in which contact between one parent and the child(ren) has become difficult or has broken off for various reasons – for example, due to or following a divorce or separation, a lack of trust in the other parent, or when there has been no personal contact with the child(ren) for an extended period. In situations where a possible risk to the child must be assessed, the visitation café can also provide a safe setting.

We accompany these sensitive encounters with care and professional expertise. Our team has solid training and decades of experience in working with families.

Legally, supervised visitation is regulated under § 111 of the Außerstreitgesetz (Non-Contentious Proceedings Act). It is understood as a transitional measure aimed at enabling the parent entitled to contact to independently and trustfully manage visits and handovers again after a period of supervised meetings.
The basis for supervised visitation can vary:
  • Parents may voluntarily agree on a supervised visitation arrangement – either through a court settlement or informally outside of court, or
  • there may be a court order in place, or
  • the Child and Youth Welfare Services may recommend that parents make use of supervised visitation.
Regardless of the initial situation, we are available to all interested parents for further questions regarding supervised visitation. Our aim is to gently support the contact between parents and children and to foster the conditions for a trusting relationship.
